Its is Reported that a Private commercial jet Flight # ED 202 Airblue was on its routine flight from Karachi to Islamabad and was about to land at Benazir International Airport, Islamabad

suddenly crashed on Margalla hills.

according to sources this place is said to be no fly zone and aprox 1 km far from Presidency, Parliament and supreme court

according to sources plane flew from Karachi Airport at 28 july wednesday 7:50 am with 10 people from crew and 159 passengers on board

Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik said that we will know further that why was the path of  flight changed suddenly

According to sources Pilot of that flight Pervaiz Iqbal Choudery  said to be near 65 years old was retired from Pakistan International Airlines

the first officer Mujetadin Chughtai said to be 21 years old was new apointed and this was his second flight.

After wards  Prime Minister of Pakistan Yousuf Raza Gilani along with some ministers and Chief Minsters of Four Provinces Visited site by Helicopter

According to the initial report sent to the Defence Ministry, poor visibility and the plane flying below the given altitude were the cause of the incident.

Pakistan International Airlines lost their passengers

Five New Delhi bound passengers have mysteriously gone missing completely including their luggage from the Karachi International Airport.
The five passengers were on-board a Pakistan International Airlines flight number- PK-227 from Dubai to New Delhi and disappeared after the aircraft stopped over at Karachi International Airport,
Geo News reported.Security officials at the Karachi airport immediately launched a search after they received reports regarding the ‘missing’ passengers.
The missing Pakistan Airlines passengers are said to be Pakistani nationals.
The PIA flight was delayed for more than two hours due to the incident while airport authorities searched for the missing passengers.

Pakistan's airline under pressure

PIA has had to reroute flights to avoid Afghan airspace

Pakistan's flag carrier, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), is bracing itself for the fall-out from the terrorist attacks in the United States.The airline was in financial difficulties even before the attacks.
Now the situation is set to get worse, both because of the global travel downturn and Pakistan's proximity to Afghan airspace.
Since the attacks PIA had to change many of its routes, because its aeroplanes do no longer fly over Afghanistan.
This has lengthened journey times to the United States and the United Kingdom by one hour, an expensive change to schedules.
Insurance costs are also up, as Pakistan's location compounds PIA's difficulties.
The increased tension in the region is a setback for an airline that only recently received a 20bn rupee bail-out package from the government, and saw its financial situation improve over the past few months.
To make things worse, it also faces demands for higher pay from pilots.
Potential problems
PIA's chief operating officer, Khursheed Anwar, told the BBC's World Business Report that the airline had not yet experienced a fall in passenger numbers.
However Mr Anwar believes this is due to the backlog of travellers, as many flights were cancelled immediately after the attacks.
"We feel that advance bookings may be cancelled in the month of October and that's when major problems could start," he said.
Mr Anwar said he did believe that the lifting of US sanctions against Pakistan would help PIA, and Pakistan business in general.
"We expect to see an improvement in traffic both in passenger and freight... and also we hope that our currency will stabilise and not depreciate as it has been doing in the past," he said.

After second World War , American airline launched an international subsidiary, American Overseas Airlines, to serve Europe; AOA was sold to Pan Am in 1950. AA launched another subsidiary, Líneas Aéreas Americanas de Mexico S.A., to fly over to Mexico and built several airports there. American Airlines provided advertising and free usage of its aircraft in the 1951 film Three Guys Named Mike. Until Capital merged into United in 1961, AA was the largest American airline, which meant second largest in the world, after Aeroflot.

American Airlines introduced the first trans-continental jet service using Boeing 707s on January 25, 1959. With its 707s American shifted to nonstop coast-to-coast flights, although it maintained feeder connection to cities along its old route using smaller Convair 990s and Lockheed Electras. American invested $440 million in jet aircraft up to year1962, launched the first electronic booking system (Sabre) with IBM, and built an upgraded terminal at Idlewild (now JFK) Airport in New York City which became the airline's largest base. In the year1960s, Mattel released a series of American Airlines stewardess Barbie dolls, signifying their growing commercial success.[citation needed] Vignelli Associates designed the AA eagle logo in 1967. Vignelli attributes the introduction of his firm to American Airlines to Henry Dreyfuss, the legendary AA design consultant. The logo is still in use today.

By Sep:1970, American Airlines was ready to offering its first long haul international flights from the West Coast to Honolulu and on to Sydney and Auckland via American Samoa and Nadi.

A fictitious mark "American Airlines Space Freighter", the Valley Forge, was the setting for the 1971 science fiction movie Silent Running, starring Bruce Dern and directed by Douglas Trumbull. The freighter featured the then-new "AA" logo on the hull, along with the crew uniforms and several set pieces. On 30 March 1973 AA became the first major airline to employ a female pilot when Bonnie Tiburzi was hired to fly Boeing 727s. From 1971–1978 Beverly Lynn Burns worked as a stewardess for AA. She went on to become the first woman Boeing 747 airline captain when, on the afternoon of July 18, 1984, she commanded People Express flight #17 (aircraft 604) departing Newark International Airport at 3:30pm to Los Angeles International Airport. In a prearranged effort, this honor was shared with another female People Express captain Lynn Rippelmeyer, who flew flight number 2 from Newark to London Gatwick at 7:35pm that same day.

SIA Witnesses Year of Two Extreme Halves

After an experience of major financial setbacks n the first and second quarters, Singapore Airlines made an impressive comeback in its third and fourth quarters.

According to these reports, the national carrier posted an 80% on-year decline in full-year net profit to $216 million.

Further, the airlines had chalked up nearly half-a-billion dollars in losses in its first two quarters that totaled to $466 million.

The most primary reasons for the losses were the high fuel prices and the economic slowdown.

However, the airlines recovered from losses and witnessed a turnaround from the third quarter. The national carrier recorded a profit of $682 million.

According to the officials the turnaround was due to the global economic recovery, the rise in the passenger numbers and of cargo carriage.

Commenting on this results, Stephenson Harwood's Global Head of Aviation, Paul Ng said, "The fourth quarter was a period of holiday, so passenger traffic and cargo traffic would have seen higher numbers. In particular, the Q4 results were good partly because the fuel hedges that were crushing the profits of the airline had run out".

SIA officials reports that the fourth-quarter net profit of SIA stood at $278 million that was more than six times of the net profit which was recorded last year.

Report suggests that the figure disobeyed the market expectations that were estimated at about $240 million.

Analysts speculate that SIA would maintain a trend of profitability in the first quarter next year as well.

Singapore Airline may sell Virgin holding

The chief executive officer of Singapore Airlines may drop 49% share in Richard Branson's Virgin Atlantic. Mr. Goh Choon Phong, who had occupied the seat as chief executive just today, may get recommendation for the last major remainders of Singapore Airlines' worldwide growth plan.

It has also  informed that he is dealing with the rising rivalry in Asia. Virgin has stated that during December, it had received venture queries and Singapore Airlines' departing CEO; Chew Choon Seng had coined the deal as underperformance, 2 years before.

In Asiatic nations, Mr Goh encounters cheap-cost contention on long-distance routes from AirAsia X and Jetstar and as well as rehabilitated the hard work done by Cathay Pacific and Korean Air Lines to tempt away profitable business-class voyagers.

Mr Chew's forerunner, Cheong Choong Kong, bought shares in Virgin Atlantic and Air New Zealand to developed in a foreign country.

Singapore Airlines now ready to shed off its stake in Virgin

A news: After selling off majority of its stake in Virgin Atlantic, Singapore Airlines has said that airline is always ready to shed off remaining part as well. The comment was made after there were news reports that said that there was another potential bid for the airline.

SIA currently has 49 per cent of the shares under its name. The stake was taken up by the company in year 2000.

The situation came up after both the parties saw a long span of time of strained relationship. While news reports confirmed that statement, IA VP-Public Affairs Nicholas Ionides said that 'no such' decision has been taken about further divestment.

Earlier this on SIA's new CEO, Goh Choon Phong had said in an announcement that organizational restructuring is taking place at present and that it is going to align the firm's commercial, operational and corporate planning activities.

As from February 1, Executive Vice President for Commercial, Mak Swee Wah will be looking after all the activities related to marketing and sales and also delivery and services.

HR issues are going  be taken care by Executive Vice President for Human Resources and Planning, Ng Chin Hwee. Besides this, a separate section for corporate planning will also be opened.
